Albert Einstein was famous for devising his theory of relativity, which revolutionized our understanding of space, time, gravity, and the universe. He received honorary doctorate degrees in science, medicine and philosophy from many European and American universities. During the 1920’s he lectured in Europe, America and the Far East, and he was awarded Fellowships or Memberships of all the leading scientific academies throughout the world. He gained numerous awards in recognition of his work, including the Copley Medal of the Royal Society of London in 1925, and the Franklin Medal of the Franklin Institute in 19351. However, to reach these great successes, Einstein was determined, focused and inspirational.

This leads us to why we are focusing on this greatest physicist of all time as “Never Give Up Day”, is celebrated today, on the 18th August. Never Give Up Day is about having a mindset of determination to help us get through even the hardest of challenges. This day is about motivating others, inspiring ourselves, and remembering that you can push through hard times and keep going to achieve success with perseverance, strength, and determination2.
